Some News...

Wed Jul 1, 2009, 4:40 PM
Hmm... guess I should give some overview of what's going on here...

:flagcanada: CANADA DAY :flagcanada:
It was Canada Day today... at least for the rest of Canada. Here in Quebec province, it's known as "Moving Day". So had to give a hand to my older bro by handling boxes up and down endless flights of stairs. w00t, what fun. :( Legs a bit wobbly, kinda tired, but otherwise I'll survive. Did I mention I hate moving? It's right there on my "Top Ten Things I Hate" list, along with paparazzi, mosquitoes, and job interviews.

:star: COMMISSIONS

I took the last week of June off, and I'm glad I did, since we had a heat wave kinda thing going on at that time... and drawing with sweaty hands is such a drag. Even with the fan on "Airplane Speed" it was barely tolerable. I wouldn't live south for all the gold of the world (though I might be swayed by an appropriate amount of ladies in swimwear).

So, the next list should start up in the next few days, and I'll contact the relevant people to get proper info and payments. You are not forgotten! :P

:star: TOTALLY RANDOM THINGIE

I'm not a big fan of going to the movies... I'm content to wait for them to appear in video stores or even to air. But the trailers from Terminator Salvation did seem pretty neat... enough to get me to the big screen!

And I don't regret it - it was FUN! I think I actually oohed and aahed at some points of the film. The auto-terminators? Awesomness! The not-so-unexpected cameo of you-know-who? Yeah baby!

I heard some bits about Christian Bale's acting, or that the story was lame. Frankly, I don't care - I enjoyed the ride for all it was worth. And if "Salvation" was their way of saving us from the total crap that was T3, well done!

Perhaps my only gripe is the traditional Terminator lines you hear in every, single, freaking, movie (and TV series)...

"I'll be back"

"Come with me if you want to live"

Give me a break... TT_TT

Anywho, in the end, that was MY film of the year... and I was convinced to go see Star Trek as well by a friend... and that was a well felt "meh" for me. Viva Reset Buttons!

Okay, enough ranting - have a good day everybody!

...

...Sorry, I heard "breast" and "suck" in the same sentence and I locked up.

lol (*bonks you to restart the engine*)

Anyway, the month isn't over yet (and it did happen a couple of times I was late anyway). The idea's ready - I'm just not in a drawing mood with the desert-like weather we were having lately. :P

I know how you feel - I'm way way behind on the Waterful World of Disney (I haven't drawn any girls since Snow White in March!). I'm thinking I'll just wait 'til November and draw them all then, since it'll be 20 years to the month after The Little Mermaid came out.
