Commission from 
, continuing the story of Aarie "Trouble in Paradise" that he wrote.
Aarie has managed to escape from the wreck, but her scuba tank has run empty... Weakened and out of breath, she starts to lose consciousness, reaching at the surface so far away... There she holds at the edge of the next world, unafraid...
I was at first reluctant to make the picture - I'm sort of uncomfortable putting Aarie into too much danger... But birthday is coming up (July 17th), so I thought I'd make an exception this time. (Hey, only fools never change their minds... :3)

^^ Such resignation, but really good drawing. I'd have hoped that a diver as experienced as Aarie would recognize dumping the weights as a valid response to an out-of-air scenario, but again, a really good drawing.
